Experience a Highland Games in the beautiful Canadian Rockies!
The Canmore Highland Games has become an integral part of the Canmore community over the years and a well-loved event at the end of the summer. Bringing visitors from all over the world, the Highland Games helps to share Scottish music and heritage, the beauty of the mountain town and also brings sustainability of many local small businesses.
This year's Games is running on both August 30 and August 31, with piping, drumming and pipe band competition events both days. Find links to event registration for both day in each discipline below.
As a sanctioned ASPD event for piping and drumming, the Canmore Highland Games follows the music requirements as set out by the Music Committee, which can be found here. To compete in solo and band competitions, competitors must be a 2025 ASPD (or affiliated Society) member in good standing. For ASPD membership information, visit the Membership page.
